As parents, aspiring students, and newcomers, you may have several common questions - and MILC is willing to answer them.
Q: How long will the school be closed?
A: We are following the law of Ontario to keep all schools closed due to the COVID-19 disease outbreak until further notice. There is no definite timestamp for when the disease pandemic will end for Ontario.
Q: How do I get to the Makki Islamic Learning Centre?
A: We are located at 8452 Torbram Road in Brampton, Ontario, right beside the Jame Makki Masjid. Arriving depends on where you’re coming from – north, south, east, or west. Note that the two major roads – Queen Street and Steeles Avenue – naturally have a lot of traffic, especially in the mornings and late afternoons. Click or tap the “Directions” button (at right or below) to open Google Maps to plot the best individual route for you.
Q: I want to register my child. What necessary documents do I need to bring?
A: As per the Ontario and Canadian laws, a valid birth certificate, Ontario Health Card, and immunization records are needed.
Q: Can I register my child online?
A: No. MILC does not currently have an online registration system. We will be considering it in the future if deemed reasonable and effective.
Q: What is the minimum age required to register a child in JK (junior kindergarten)?
A: We accept children 4 years of age or older in our JK classes.
Q: When does registration start?
A: Every year New Registration begins from April.
Q: Can I donate towards MILC?
A: Absolutely! Please inquire with the Makki Masjid management.
